While we get Shenzhen Buddies off the ground, every tour is free — pick a 2 or 3 hour day with a local buddy. There is no payment step at all: request a day, and we confirm by email within three business days.

The pilot costs you nothing. If the day deserved it, you can tip your buddy afterwards — that part is up to you.

Before you book
- Is it really free?
- Yes. While we pilot the service, your buddy’s time costs nothing — no card, no deposit, no checkout page. Anything you eat, ride or buy on the day you pay for directly, at local prices.
- What’s the catch?
- There isn’t one. We’re new and we’d rather earn reviews than revenue right now. If you loved your day, you can leave a tip or a donation — both optional.
- How long is a tour?
- 2 or 3 hours, your choice, one-on-one with your buddy.
- Can I book more than one tour?
- One at a time. Tours are free, so we keep it to one booking per person until that tour is done — that way everyone gets a turn. Once it’s over, you’re welcome to book another.
- When will I know it’s confirmed?
- We confirm by email within 3 business days of your request.
