Views & city lights
福田
Up the hill for the sunset, down into the CBD for the lights.
Shenzhen built itself upward in forty years and the skyline is the argument. This one is timed rather than routed: we start climbing while it is still light, hit the viewpoint as the towers switch on, then drop into the CBD at street level where the buildings themselves are the screen. It is the four hours people come back with photographs from.
Times are elapsed from your meeting point, not clock times — you pick the start hour at checkout.

Lianhuashan is a twenty-minute walk up through trees, not a hike. The payoff at the top is the whole CBD lined up beneath you, with Ping An at the centre of it.
0:50
We wait it out. Kites, retirees dancing, the light going orange and then blue, and the towers coming on one block at a time.
1:40
Street level under the towers, across the civic axis. On show nights the building facades run a synchronised light display across the whole district — your buddy checks the schedule that week and we plan the walk around it.
2:30
The Ping An Finance Centre observation deck is right there and worth it on a clear night. Tickets are yours to buy and we skip it without argument if the haze has won that day.
3:10
Rooftop bar for the view, or a late noodle shop for the city. Both are good answers and your buddy has a specific one of each.
One thing worth knowing
Air clarity decides this one. Your buddy will tell you honestly the morning of if the haze means you should swap to another package — we would rather move you than sell you a grey photograph.
